Bloober Team looks to emulate horror classic.
EA doesn’t seem interested in developing a new Dead Space game, so Bloober Team has taken it upon itself to create a horror title that looks and plays just like Isaac Clarke’s escapades. Cronos: The New Dawn is its name, and you can pick up on the clear inspirations in the combat-focused trailer above.
Across five minutes of video, lead developers at the Silent Hill 2 remake studio discuss its approach to a „tactical“ combat system. In Cronos: The New Dawn, the enemies you face can merge together, including with dead bodies. This means the corpses you leave become „fuel“ for the next wave of monsters, which makes them stronger.
