Sony has shared its PlayStation Stars rewards program, which never made it off phones and actually onto PS5 and PS4 consoles, will be shutting down. The full closure will take place in November 2026, but the program won’t be accepting any new members, effective immediately.
The news has been confirmed in a PlayStation Blog post, where it’s revealed the firm wants to „refocus“ its efforts after learning „a lot from evaluating the types of activities our players respond best to“. These are the key details, as per the blog post:
