Arc Raiders developer Embark Studios has officially announced that the multiplayer extraction shooter will launch for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S on October 30. Confirmed at Summer Game Fest, the release-date reveal was accompanied by a new trailer showing off more of the game’s environment and PvPvE action.
Embark Studios–which was co-founded by Battlefield veteran Patrick Soderlund–first showed off Arc Raiders all the way back in 2021. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic world where humanity has been forced underground by the Arc machines: automatons programmed solely to seek and destroy. As a Raider, players have to regularly journey to the surface so that they can scavenge for supplies, but they’ll also have to watch out for rival players looking to steal their loot.
A closed technical test for Arc Raiders was held last month, and executive producer Aleksander Grøndal said that it provided valuable feedback for the studio as it heads into the final stretch of development.
