Sony has announced in a statement to German outlet GamesWirtschaft it won’t be exhibiting at Gamescom next month, marking the sixth year in a row it’s skipped the biggest gaming expo in the world.
Since the platform holder hasn’t been on the showfloor since 2019, this comes as little surprise. However, the decision to skip the event once again was confirmed in a statement: „Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) currently has no plans to exhibit at Gamescom 2025. However, we look forward to exciting content and releases coming later this year.“ Sony is confirmed to be exhibiting at the Tokyo Game Show in September.
