Helldivers 2’s Upcoming Patch Delayed Due To “Last-Minute Certification Issue”

The immensely popular Helldivers 2 has been having a rough go at things lately, what with the co-op shooter’s latest update causing myriad headaches for everyone. A patch meant to address many of the bugs plaguing Helldivers 2–both in the game and in the code–was slated to arrive on October 21, but it’s been delayed until either Friday, October 24, or sometime next week due to some unspecified “last-minute certification issue.”

Developer Arrowhead Game Studios took to Helldivers 2’s official Discord server to deliver the news. The studio wouldn’t clarify what the “last-minute certification issue” was, but the team is willing to “work over the weekend” if necessary to get this update optimized for deployment.

“We want to share an update on our most recent patch. It was originally planned for Tuesday, but a last-minute certification issue caused a delay,” the developer said. “The team is now targeting delivery by the end of this week, with staff ready to work over the weekend if needed. There’s still a small chance the issue won’t be fully resolved by Friday, which could push the patch to next week. We’re doing everything we can to deliver it this week and will provide an update on Friday either way. Thanks for your patience and understanding.”
