The awesome collector’s box set of the official visual history of Dungeons & Dragons is back on sale for a massive discount at Amazon. Fans can get Dungeons & Dragons Art & Arcana: A Visual History Special Edition for only $51.65 (was $125) at Amazon. To get the full $73.35 discount, you need to click the coupon box on the store page to cut an additional $17.22 from the price at checkout. It’s not quite as cheap as it was during Big Deal Days ($46), but this is still a great price.

Dungeons & Dragons Art & Arcana: A Visual History is a 448-page, full-color art book detailing the artistic evolution of the tabletop RPG. It includes concept sketches, official illustrations, photographs, and other material from D&D’s many rulebooks, adventure modules, novels, magazines, and more.
In total, the book contains more than 700 original pieces of art and more than 40 interviews with artists and game designers who have worked on the storied tabletop game over the years.
The Special Edition includes an eye-catching display box with exclusive artwork. Inside the book-like box, you’ll find the actual hardcover as well as 10 art prints, and a pamphlet of D&D co-creator Gary Gygax’s classic Tomb of Horrors adventure module, all within a clamshell case featuring original designs by D&D artist Hydro74.

Lore & Legends was put together by the team behind Art & Arcana, which isn’t surprising considering it comes with the same style display box. Released in 2023 to celebrate Dungeons & Dragons 5E, Lore & Legends is a 416-page hardcover with 900-plus pieces of art and photography as well as exclusive interviews.
The box has a pull-out dice tray/drawer containing a few extras: a large map of Faerun (24 x 36 inches), an art print of D&D 5E’s Starter Set cover (8 x 10 inches), and a d20 resin die.

One of the highlights is the Dragonlance Chronicles, a hardcover omnibus edition of three classic fantasy novels set in the D&D universe. The 1,000-plus page hardcover was originally published in the mid-1980s and was out of print for many years until Random House reissued it earlier this year. It quickly became a massive bestseller.
