King of the Hill Season 16 and 17 Confirmed With 20-Episode Order
Hulu has renewed King of the Hill for Seasons 16 and 17 with a 20-episode order. The adult animated series was initially revived in January 2023 with a 20-episode order.
Season 14 streamed its 10-episode season on Monday, August 4 and premiered at No. 2 on Nielsen’s Overall Top 10 Streaming chart. The series has crossed 1 billion hours streamed globally across Hulu and Disney+.
Season 15 premieres on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers in the U.S., and on Disney+ internationally at some point in 2026.
Reviving King of the Hill 15 years after the original concluded has paid off, then, but it wasn’t a sure thing. Some of the original voice actors have passed away, both before and after taping Season 14. The U.S. has changed dramatically (as Hank Hill himself discovers upon returning from Saudi Arabi at the start of Season 14). A necessary time skip meant that characters have aged, with Bobby perhaps seeing the most dramatic changes. Given all that, creators Mike Judge and Greg Daniels managed to stick the landing, which bodes well for Season 15, 16, and 17.
IGN’s King of the Hill Season 14 review returned a 10/10. We said: “King of the Hill Season 14 is a dazzling return to form for the beloved series, leveraging winning social commentary and complicated characters to cement itself as one of the greatest comebacks in animation history.”
