AILinux Google Drive 0.2.4 Stable released — native Google Drive for Linux
AILinux Google Drive 0.2.4 Stable is now available.
This release keeps the native Google OAuth 2.0 + Drive API v3 + FUSE3 mount and adds desktop-aware file-manager integration. The app detects the active Linux desktop and installed established file managers and adds a native Google Drive location without duplicating entries.
Desktop integration
- KDE Plasma / Dolphin: KDE Places with cloud icon
- GNOME / Nautilus: GTK/XDG bookmarks
- Cinnamon / Nemo: GTK/XDG bookmarks
- Xfce / Thunar: GTK/XDG bookmarks
- MATE / Caja: GTK/XDG bookmarks
- LXDE / PCManFM: GTK/XDG bookmarks
- LXQt / PCManFM-Qt: GTK/XDG bookmarks
- Budgie / Pantheon / Unity / COSMIC: GTK/XDG bookmarks
- Unknown/minimal desktops: standards-based GTK/XDG fallback
The detector uses the normal XDG/session variables first, then the user systemd environment and running desktop processes. If several supported file managers are installed, their native integrations can coexist.
Other highlights
- Google OAuth 2.0 desktop login with PKCE
- Google Drive API v3

- Read/write filesystem operations and Drive trash
- HTTP Range reads for large files
- Local write cache and resumable uploads

The 0.2.4 package was tested with a real Google account, Drive API access, a live FUSE mount and simultaneous KDE/Dolphin + GTK/Nautilus bookmark integration.
Note: Google Drive uses a restricted OAuth scope. Availability for accounts beyond approved/test users depends on the Google Auth Platform publishing and verification status of the AILinux OAuth application.
