If you’ve been wanting to get a Peloton Tread or Tread+ but have been holding off because of the price, I get it. The regular Tread is $2,995 while the Tread+ is a whopping $5,995. Right now, though, you can get a deal on either one—and it doesn’t take much effort on your part.

The Peloton-Lululemon deals on treadmills

Lululemon members can get $300 off the Tread or $600 off the Tread+ right now. Signing up for a Lululemon membership is free; in fact, if you’ve ever bought anything from the activewear giant, you probably already have a membership. If you don’t, you can sign up for one here.

Once that’s taken care of, you can make your Tread or Tread+ purchase through Peloton’s site, then enter the code LLLTREAD for $300 off a Tread at checkout or LLLTREADPLUS for $600 off the Tread+.

The offer runs through Sept. 4, so you have a few days to consider your options. This is especially good news because Peloton is doing away with its free setup and installation options on equipment, so the act of buying a bike, treadmill, or rowing machine is getting more expensive. A little sale like this can offset that cost.

Differences between the Tread and Tread+

The Tread+ is longer, with eight more inches of track to run on at 67″ compared to the Tread’s 59″, and its belt is a shock-absorbing slat belt whereas the Tread just has a normal treadmill belt. Its touchscreen is also 32″ long compared to the 23″ the Tread has. Both have speeds up to 12.5 mph, but the Tread+ can reach up to a 15% incline and the Tread can only go to a 12.5% incline.

Basically, the Tread+ is significantly bigger in all aspects and its belt is a little more advanced. The slat belt is softer, and therefore offers a quieter and more joint-friendly running experience. The Tread’s belt is more reminiscent of running on the road or just the regular treadmill at the gym.

Deal details and other ways to save

Lululemon and Peloton have a partnership, which is why you see instructors wearing Lululemon gear during virtual classes and why you can access a handful of free classes through the Lululemon app every month. They periodically join forces to offer up these equipment discounts, too, so if you’ve been wanting a Bike or Bike+, wait a few months to see what the next sale can get you.

Then again, why wait? There are a few other ways to get your hands on Bikes and Tread for less money. Occasionally, big stores will liquidate their floor models, but you’ll have better luck if you just opt for resale. Peloton has its own resale platform, Repowered, where you can source Bikes, Treads, Rows, and accessories with a company-backed guarantee. Plus, if you sell your old equipment on there, you get a few hundred dollars off your next purchase, depending on what you’re buying. After a Repowered sale, you get $600 off the Tread+, just like the Lululemon deal, but only $200 off the Tread. There are also other resale sites out there that operate under guarantees and even offer shipping and installation.
