How AI is defining the ‘new’ architect

For decades, enterprise architecture focused on diagrams and system designs. Today, AI and autonomous agents are shifting the paradigm by automating technical execution—generating code and infrastructure in minutes. Thinking ahead to the future, this will belong to the Cognitive Architect—a leader who combines human judgment, enterprise context, platform thinking, governance, and AI-enabled acceleration into one operating model.
